AppleByte, the Digital Currency Supporting Artists, Announces Its Second Round of Crowdfunding on Indiegogo

AppleByte uses the technology of digital currencies (similar to Bitcoin) to allow fans to support their favorite artists around the world. Fans can now support artists with more than just likes, favs, or re-tweets. They can send artists AppleBytes, a real token of appreciation that has actual monetary value. The AppleByte Foundation is launching an Indiegogo Campaign as part of Phase II with the goal to raise $1,000,000 in funds to support thousands of artists in 2015. The campaign began on February 7th, 2015 and will come to an end on April 8th, 2015.

AppleByte raised $50,000 for Phase I, which was used for developing the initial infrastructure and community. The AppleByte infrastructure and digital currency were developed, tested, and proved to be successful around the world. The foundation grew their social media community to over 35,000, and more than 500 artists have received AppleBytes from their fans. The success of Phase I has paved the way for Phase II to begin.

The goal of Phase II is to raise money that will be primarily used for advertising, hiring new staff, and upgrades to the infrastructure. All artists, including painters, musicians, sculptors, dancers, photographers, actors, etc. now have revolutionary way to gain support for their career, even if they haven’t made it big in eyes of the media. And fans have a unique way to show their appreciation for the artists they admire, wherever in the world they are.
