Social Gifting Platform eGifter Launches Tiered Rewards Program Giving 3 Percent Back for Bitcoin Purchases

eGifter, the social gifting company, announced today the official launch of its tiered rewards program, which returns to customers up to three percent back for each dollar spent on over 200 brands of eGift cards. Percentage points are returned to consumers as eGifter points they can use toward future purchases on eGifter. More points are earned for lower-cost transactions such as cryptocurrencies. The tiers are as follows:

-  Bitcoin, Dogecoin and Litecoin purchases – 3 percent
-  PayPal purchases – 2 percent
-  Credit card purchases – 1 percent

The eGifter Points program is a testament to the company’s payment flexibility.

“Because cryptocurrencies cost less for transactions, we’re excited to be able to offer higher returns for those purchases to encourage additional usage,” said Tyler Roye, co-founder and CEO of eGifter.

The eGifter Marketplace recently added nearly 50 additional brands and also announced a partnership with GoCoin to accept newer cryptocurrencies such as Dogecoin and Litecoin.

Members can earn points buying gift cards for themselves or while taking advantage of eGifter’s complete social gifting platform, which allows users to add personalized eGreeting cards and video messages, as well as enables friends to pitch in on gifts as a group through social media or email.

“This forward-looking program aims to give back to our dedicated customers, rewarding their loyalty and support with points for purchases they’re making on eGifter. They can use the points in combination with any other payment method we accept, resulting in great savings,” said Roye.

Recipients of gift cards purchased on eGifter’s marketplace are not required to have a social login and can claim their cards via email as well as through a social network. Most gift cards can be used online or in store and can also be downloaded and stored directly in the eGifter app, or sent directly from eGifter to consumers’ favorite digital wallet, such as Apple Passbook and Samsung wallet.
