East Coast Premier of ’Life on Bitcoin’ Documentary Coming to Charlotte Expo

The Second Annual Cryptolina Bitcoin Expo announced that the East coast premier of the highly anticipated 'Life on Bitcoin' documentary will be held Friday, August 14.

Organizers of the Second Annual Cryptolina Bitcoin Expo announced that the East coast premier of the highly anticipated 'Life on Bitcoin' documentary will be held Friday, August 14 at the Historic McGlohon Theater at Spirit Square in Uptown Charlotte.

The screening will be a part of the Cryptolina Bitcoin Expo being held on August 14 and 15, 2015. The two-day conference is a sequel to last summer's inaugural expo in Raleigh that attracted over 350 digital currency developers, investors and technologists from across the United States and Europe.

Among them, former United States Mint Director Edmund C. Moy and Silicon Valley venture capitalist Adam Draper.Life on Bitcoin is a documentary which follows a newlywed couple during the first 90 days of marriage, where they are vow to only use Bitcoin. For three months, newlyweds Beccy and Austin Craig tested Bitcoin (and their marriage) by relying solely on the crypto-currency for every expense, including gas, rent, groceries, speeding tickets, and insurance.

The couple hoped to push the limits by using bitcoin in their hometown, then on a cross-country road trip, and finally through international travel in Europe and Asia. "It felt like learning to swim by jumping in the deep end of the pool," added Austin Craig.

"We are thrilled that Charlotte was selected to screen the East coast premier of this thought-provoking documentary," said Faruk Okcetin, a co-founder of the Cryptolina Bitcoin Expo. "

Any individual or business who has an interest in learning more about the emerging digital currency industry will benefit from seeing this film."More than 500 new faces of the emerging Bitcoin community are expected to attend, network and discuss this growing industry behind the digital currency.

Tickets can be bought using Bitcoin via BitPay, or with credit/debit using CarolinaTix.
