Conquer Mobile Wins Boost VC Startup Prize at Upload VR Demo Day with PeriopSim VR Medical Simulation Training.

Conquer Mobile, medical simulation training specialists, announced a first place win at the Boost VC on-stage pitch contest at the Upload VR annual VR Demo Day event last week.

The VR Demo Day event took place on July 13 at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California. VR Demo Day features the industry’s top VR companies from around the world, who are selected to attend the event. The event attracts prominent VC companies and Angel investors focused on applications of VR technology.

Boost VC offers a $25,000 cash investment to the winning company and the opportunity to take part in a 3 month accelerator program in Silicon Valley. The prize also includes a table at Tech Crunch Disrupt, one of the most influential tech conferences of the year, taking place in San Francisco September 21-23.

Conquer Mobile’s winning pitch was based on a medical simulation training tool called PeriopSim. PeriopSim VR helps surgical staff to learn instruments and procedures and provides a safe way to practice before surgery. By providing a fully immersive, realistic learning environment, PeriopSim VR aims to cut the cost of orientation and double scrubbing for new staff. The iPad version is available as a free preview on the App Store.

“We are so stoked to win this prize,” commented Aaron Hilton, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Conquer Mobile. “VR has long been seen as an exclusively gaming focused technology but it is clear that it has a very practical, viable use in medical training."
