Shaun Bridges, the secret agent charged with extorting bitcoins during the Silk Road investigation, is also suspected with targeting Bitcoin Shop “for personal gain.” Charles Allen, the CEO of Bitcoin Shop, said to Bloomberg Bridges showed up at the door of the company’s COO around mid to late February early in the morning accompanied by two other officers. According to the New York Times, a Secret Service agent and a former member of the DEA will be indicted on charges of stealing bitcoins during the course of the Silk Road investigation. More of the Silk Road scandal has been revealed following the release of a criminal complaint on Monday in federal court. The complaint filed on March 25, 2015 charges two former US federal agents who investigated Silk Road with stealing bitcoin, extorting money from the defendant, and a string of other criminal charges.
