EveryEventGives First Ticketing Company Accepting Bitcoin and Dollars

Today, EveryEventGives (http://www.everyeventgives.com), a national ticketing platform for independent event planners and non-profit organizations, announced that users can now accept Bitcoin as payment for event tickets. Company executives have not found any other company that offers both options.

“There are ticketing companies who accept Bitcoin and others who accept dollars, but we seem to be the first to accept both,” EveryEventGives CEO Sean Spence said. “We offer this option as part of our ongoing effort to offer our users any option that might help them succeed.”

The Bitcoin payment option is automatically available for all events hosted on the site, with no adjustment or customization needed.

EveryEventGives uses the CoinBase system (http://www.coinbase.com) for Bitcoin exchange, enabling the company to accept Bitcoin and immediately convert it to U.S. currency, avoiding problems that could otherwise arise with fluctuating Bitcoin exchange rates. Users can receive the money for their purchased tickets in either cash or Bitcoin.

EveryEventGives provides an easy, free way for independent event planners and non-profit organizations to sell tickets, and gives 50 cents of their fees for every ticket sold to the charity of the event host’s choice. EveryEventGives is committed to the principles of Conscience Driven Capitalism, with the core idea that charitable giving can be integrated into every sale.
