EcoBox Integrates Bitcoin as New Payment Method, Offering More Options to Customers

With the busiest time of year just five weeks away, EcoBox is now accepting Bitcoins as a payment method for their shipping and moving supplies.

“Bitcoins are a virtual currency that live on a peer-to-peer network of computers,” explains Dale Malone, Managing Partner of EcoBox.

“A customer can create a ‘virtual wallet’ on their phone, tablet or computer that holds the Bitcoins, and from there they can be transferred to any other person in the world.”

EcoBox has several relationships with vendors outside of the United States. The payment methods that the company currently accepts can take several days to clear and costs up to three per cent in fees. Using Bitcoins offers an almost instantaneous process, ensuring a smoother transaction for both the customer and the business.

“We’re always looking for ways to streamline the purchasing of boxes, and feel that accepting Bitcoins as a payment method will make customer and vendor transactions more efficient,” states Malone.

“Bitcoin transactions make funds available within minutes and there are little to no costs to transfer them.”

EcoBox has seamlessly integrated the use of Bitcoins into their Netsuite ERP software which also runs their ecommerce site. This enables customers to use Bitcoins to purchase boxes at any of their six locations and purchase them online.
