  • How big banks are reacting

CB Insights CEO and co-founder Anand Sanwal hosted the “Disruption in Financial Services” webinar, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.

Investment dollars into FinTech tripled in 2014. Strategic or corporate investors are among the drivers of the increase. The emergence of FinTech has corporates ranging from Google to MasterCard to Citigroup actively investing in the space.

How much is funding to FinTech startups booming? Funding to these companies hit nearly $3 billion in the first quarter of 2015, from less than $1 billion in the second quarter of 2010.

Finally, Sanwal presented case studies on the investment strategies at JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Visa, MasterCard and American Express.
