Dogecoin Foundation registers name and logos as trademarked within in the EU
The foundation took action to prevent, "attempts by people completely unaffiliated with Dogecoin to register" the names for reasons of fraud and extortion, according to board member Jens Wiechers. The Dogecoin Foundation announced on Twitter on Wednesday that it had registered “Doge,” “Dogecoin” and its associated logos as trademarks in the European Union.
