Today is November 23, 2014 and the easiest way to buy bitcoins today (in the United States) is through Coinbase, Circle or Local Bitcoins

First off, Coinbase -- Coinbase is like an online bank. Create an account, link your checking account and you’ll be buying bitcoins that will be sent to you in 3-4 days. Coinbase is a very user friendly and an easy way to buy your first bitcoins. Try it out at http://Coinbase.com

Next up, Circle -- Circle is Coinbase’s competition. They’re newer and untested, but they say you can buy Bitcoins with a credit card and instantly. Try it out at http://Circle.com

Finally, Local Bitcoins -- Local Bitcoins is totally different than the other ways of buying Bitcoin, it’s more like going to a bitcoin ATM, except the ATM is a person. Using the local bitcoins app or website, you agree to meet with a bitcoiner to trade them cash for bitcoins.
