#Bitcoin2014 - Feat. Presentation Europe's Digital Economy by Luis Ivan Cuende
Bitcoin 2014's Europe's Digital Economy Feature Presentation took place on Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Movenpick Hotel - Zurich 2 from 2:40pm-3:10pm. Luis Ivan Cuende has been invovled in new technologies from a very young age. At the mere age of 15, he was awarded a prize by the startup accelerator HackFwd for being "the best hacker in Europe under 18." He is also an Advisor to the Vice-president of the European Commission, Neelie Kroes, who is in charge of the EU's Digital Agenda. Luis got interested in Bitcoin in 2012 and in the last year he co-authored the first paper about a P2P Bitcoin exchange. This presentation will outline the thoughts of a hacker, entrepreneur and policy advisor on what Europe really needs to do on a practical level to build a thriving digital economy.
