Bad news for NASA as only ten days before the space probe reaches Pluto and they’ve ran into some trouble, the probe is not communicating and has entered safe mode. Fingers crossed they can get it fixed in time. As their breathtaking viral video said, this historic flyby of Pluto ends the era of planetary exploration. After Pluto, mankind will have flown probes by every planet in the solar system. A monumental accomplishment and in only the last 50 years.

We’ve already learned a lot about dwarf planet Pluto from the probe, including that it is not a purplish ball of ice, it’s actually brown and may even have an atmosphere. I think you’ll agree. We need to know more. The Flyby is currently scheduled for July 14th. Let’s hope they get it fixed in time. Go NASA Go!

ChangeTip Launches Proof of Reserves

ChangeTip has partnered with BitGo to launch multi-signature proof of reserves for its bitcoin related microtipping platform. The move was made to appease ChangeTip’s critics who worried the site would become another Mt. Gox, or that the site was running off a fractional reserve. The new proof of reserves site allows users to see the total amount of Bitcoin that ChangeTip has stored with BitGo as well as how much of your own bitcoin is stored in ChangeTip’s system.
