Exciting news as former CNET, former Grand Central (now Google Voice) founder Halsey Minor is back again with his latest venture BitReserve. BitReserve allows you to hold USD, Pounds, Euros or Gold, Silver and Platinum as easily as you hold bitcoin. And not just hold. Also spend. Hold Gold and Spend Bitcoin. It’s a match made in heaven. And now they’re talking about expanding into India. Exciting news, from BitReserve.org

BitGo Accused of Seeking Patent of Bitcoin Multisig Technology
http://www.newsbtc.com/2015/05/01/bit...

excuse me, let me read that headline again in reddit speak:

WTF!! BitGo is trying to Patent Bitcoin Multisig [Boycott]
http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comme...

Of course, after the enormous hubub that transpired following that reddit post (people even accused me of being a journalist after linking to the article! Imagine putting people in jail for a link! no wait, that’s already happened, happening. anyway.) After the hubub,

BitGo announced that they’re adopting a “Innovator’s Patent Agreement”
http://bitgoinc.com/bitgo-adopts-inno...

Now whether they planned to do this anyway or choose to do this because of the public outcry over BitGo plans to patent Multisig wallets, we’ll never know.

But then, just the next day, Bitcoin API provider Blocktrail discovered a bug in BitGo that causes all of BitGo’s Bitstamp information to be publicly identifiable on the blockchain. Karma’s a bitch, ain’t it?

Meet the company that wants to put a bitcoin miner in your toaster
http://ftalphaville.ft.com/2015/04/30...

And finally it took subscription-only newsletter The Financial Times (strangely allowing me to read this article without any popups demanding twenty-five cents) to reveal what everyone already knew: that the secretive but well financed company 21 (who was doing nothing but hiring mining engineers) turns out to be a play for the “put a bitcoin miner in everything”, an idea discussed many times on this show, but still very confusing.

I guess if you’re dumb enough to get a free toaster from 21 in exchange for mining for bitcoins for the company forever, I’ve got some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you and personally I’m filing a patent for a screen door on a submarine. My engineers assure me that we’re almost there. The next prototype is really gonna nail it.

Meanwhile Bitcoin Prices are up a little bit with WinkDex reporting a last of $238 -- a high of $242 and a low of $237.
