Blockchain.info Exceeds 4 Million Users Worldwide

Some interesting figures coming from Blockchain.info. As we approach the conclusion of 2013, it would appear as if Blockchain.info's user count of their 'My Wallet' bitcoin wallet is fast approaching one million users. Just take a look at the chart above. You can see exponential growth beginning in November, which is pretty much proportional to the huge inflation in the price of bitcoin around the time. At this rate, it looks as if the one million user mark will be crossed in January 2014. But where will we be in one year? Looks like the only way from here is upwards. (via Blockchain.info)

Here's another interesting and important milestone in the Blockchain.info story. The bitcoin-centric information and wallet/merchant services company has surpassed a whopping 2 million web wallet users (otherwise known as MyWallet users). The number of web wallet users on popular bitcoin site Blockchain.info continues to climb. According to Blockchain.info (who made this reddit post), over 1.5 million "My Wallet" accounts have established. Chart data on the Blockchain.info site shows just under 1.5 million, but it has not yet been updated. If you recall in late October, Blockchain announced that 500,000 wallets had been created. Fast forward to January of 2014, and it was announced that a whopping one million wallets had been created. Recently, online bitcoin brokerage Coinbase surpassed one million wallets in late....

CoinDesk spoke to Nicolas and Ben of Blockchain.info about it being the #1 bitcoin site, how it will remain so into the future, why its users trust it so much and how online wallets need to be easy to use as well as secure. The Blockchain.info team has been busy. The site grew by over 50% last month, with over 118 million page views and over 3 million unique visitors in November 2013. The number of registered bitcoin wallets jumped from 500,000 at the start of the month to 800,000 at the end and is now on its way to 1 million.
