SourceMedia Wins Seven 2015 National Azbee Awards

The American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) honored SourceMedia with seven 2015 National Azbee Awards, including the prestigious Stephen Barr Award, the ASBPE’s top individual prize.

The company, whose brands include American Banker, Financial Planning and Accounting Today, also won 17 Regional Azbee Awards. The Azbee awards honor outstanding work in business-to-business magazines, newsletters and digital media. The national awards were presented July 24 in New York during the 2015 ASBPE National Conference, and the regional awards were presented at ASBPE events around the country.

SourceMedia’s Azbee National Awards included honors for enterprise and investigative journalism, as well as for social media and design.

The special report by Marsh dramatically illustrated how financial distress is an overlooked but leading factor in military suicides. As a result of the findings, the House of Representatives passed a bill directing the military to study ways to deliver more effective financial planning to military personnel at risk, and the measure was subsequently included in legislation approved by Congress and signed into law by the president.
