Bitcoin Tribe: The New Bitcoin Social Network for Internet Nomads
Bitcoin Tribe is a Bitcoin Social Network for internet nomads. We are creating a community that works together for the common goal of growing the bitcoin economy.
Bitcoin Tribe, developed by Bitronic Technologies is a "bitcoin social network for internet nomads", says Bitronic Technologies founder Bryan Apperson. The new social network targets the users of the new crypto-currency bitcoin. The social network feautres a market where users can exchange goods, profiles, pages, blogs, groups and more. Bitcoin Tribe is still in beta and they are looking for developers at this time. They also offer a free mBTC (that's .001 Bitcoins) for joining and creating a profile on the site.
According to the site's creator, the idea is to foster commerce and allow users to promote thier bitcoin related businesses. Bitcoin is an experimental new digital currency that enables instant payments to anyone, anywhere in the world. Bitcoin uses peer-to-peer technology to operate with no central authority: managing transactions and issuing money are carried out collectively by the network. Bitcoin is also the name of the open source software which enables the use of this currency. It is notable that 1 Bitcoin is worth 11 USD according to Mt. Gox, the predominant bitcoin USD exchange.
The reason for the name Bitcoin Tribe according to Bryan Apperson is that,
"A tribe is viewed, historically or developmentally, as a social group existing before the development of, or outside of, states. Many anthropologists used the term tribal society to refer to societies organized largely on the basis of kinship.
Some theorists hold that tribes represent a stage in social evolution intermediate between bands and states. Other theorists argue that tribes developed after, and must be understood in terms of their relationship to, states. We are creating a community that works together for the common goal of growing the bitcoin economy."
Bitcoin Tribe is a place for Bitcoin users to socialize, share ideas and create new paradigms.
Bitcoin Tribe is in beta development and the project was started in June of 2012.
