FOXBIT Launches ’Bitcoin For Peace’ Campaign
FOXBIT, currently the biggest bitcoin exchange of Latin America, has launched the campaign “Bitcoin for Peace”. The initiative is about inviting all cryptocurrency exchanges of the world to donate their fees collected on September 21, the International Day of Peace, for entities that work helping people who live in conflicted areas.
Why 'Bitcoin For Peace'?
The United Nations declared the International Day of Peace in 1981, and every year they bring different themes with another concept. This year’s theme is “Partners for peace – Dignity for all”, and many companies are creating campaigns to unite themselves with their competitors to fight for peace.
“We’ve enjoyed so much these companies’ initiative that we have joined the Peace One Day, and then we thought the Bitcoin community, which grows daily, could help a lot and make a difference in the life of many people in war zones. Therefore, we have decided to create the 'Bitcoin For Peace'", commented Guto Schiavon, the co-founder of FOXBIT.
How to Donate
To promote the peace and to decrease the suffer in war areas, FOXBIT had chosen to make It’s donations to the NGO Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF or Doctors Without Borders) , which is an institution that works in many areas with armed conflicts, terrorism and humanity crises around the world, without racial discrimination, religion or political beliefs.
The donations from FOXBIT with the amount of service fees collected from users on September 21 will happen after the Peace Day. In addition, for those who want to donate individually, the company has created a bitcoin address.
