KnCMiner has finished production of its Jupiter bitcoin mining rigs and has started shipping to customers. The Sweden-based company revealed in a YouTube video that the Jupiter will mine at over 550 GH/s with a theoretical limit of around 576 GH/s, which is considerably higher than the 400 GH/s promised back in July. In the video, KnCMiner co-founders Sam Cole and Marcus Erlandsson show off the Jupiter rig in action and demonstrate its hashing power. The next time someone asks the folks at KnCMiner, "how's business?", they'll probably tell you they're doing very well. That's because the Sweden-based company has raked in about $3 million in Bitcoin mining equipment sales in the past - wait for it (but you probably already read the title) - four days. As opposed to a company like Butterfly Labs who continues to take orders while unable to timely meet demand, KnCMiner has posted a banner letting their customer know they're sold out of Saturn and Jupiter miners during their sale from November 7 through November 11. "[this] has been....
KnCMiner sold a whopping $3m worth of bitcoin mining equipment over the course of just four days last week. The Sweden-based mining machine manufacturer has now sold out of Saturn and Jupiter rigs and has taken its maximum number of pre-orders following the frenetic period of sales from 7th November to 10th November. Andreas Kennemar, CEO at KnCMiner, said: "While we have seen a significant increase in demand for our line of machines from the last quarter to this one, what happened in [that period] has been unprecedented for us, maybe unprecedented anywhere in the bitcoin mining industry."....
J-J's broken KnCMiner Super Jupiter. KnCMiner has started shipping a 3 TH/s Bitcoin mining box, the largest single Bitcoin ASIC miner in existence at the moment. The unfortunate part, though, is that none of these KnCMiner Super Jupiters arrived at their destination in one piece. KnCMiner has responded promptly on their forum, promising to ship new, properly constructed, units to affected customers, free of charge. KnCMiner also emphasized that customers needing to RMA their Super Jupiter would not have to pay return shipping on the existing $10,000 “machine” that was shipped to them; they....
KnCMiner is offering a bonus speed increase to customers awaiting delivery of its Jupiter bitcoin mining rig. The company said the Jupiter bitcoin mining rig will mine at a significantly higher rate than the 400 GH/s its customers are expecting. "We will not down clock our chips to 400[GH/s], we will release all our machines with the greatest hashing power we can. So yes, the rumors are true - Jupiter will be greater than 400[GH/s] by a significant margin as a free gift from us to all our loyal customers," the KnCMiner team's statement reads. Sam Cole, co-founder of KnCMiner, said the....
