Bitcoin Turns Five Today
Can you believe Bitcoin technically turns five-years-old today? Five years ago, on Saturday, November 1st, 2008, Satoshi Nakamoto sent out the famed email message explaining the very premise of Bitcoin. "A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without the burdens of going through a financial institution," Nakamoto explains. So there's interest in Bitcoin on Chinese search engine Baidu, and there's also interest in Bitcoin on Yahoo. But what about Google? Turns out it is! Late yesterday evening we published our twice daily bitcoin price watch piece. I noticed a bit of an issue today when trying to withdraw a small amount of bitcoin from Coinbase to my TREZOR device that I'm testing out. As it were, nothing has happened.
