Bitcoin payment processor GoCoin has raised $550,000 in venture capital to expand its operations. GoCoin's seed round was funded by a group of investors, most notably Owen Van Natta, a former Chief Operating Officer of Facebook who has also held positions at Amazon and Zynga. BitAngels, a distributed angel fund that has invested in a number of BTC-based startups, has also participated in the round. International payments platform GoCoin has announced a technology partnership with point-of-sales (POS) service provider Apriva. Apriva's Gateway connects payment devices, merchant acquirers and payment processors to deploy and manage wireless payments. Digital currency payments processor GoCoin has received a new strategic investment from US-based mining company GAW Miners. The move represents the latest investment for the Singapore-based service, which offers merchants payments options in bitcoin, as well as a number of digital currencies.
