BitPay Opens Up Bitcoin Merchant Directory
So you've got all of these Bitcoins, but yet you have no idea what you're going to do with them. Well, BitPay is hoping to change that. Today, the Bitcoin payments processor launched a Bitcoin merchant directory, aimed at letting you know where you can spend BTC just in time for the holiday season. The directory features businesses from electronics to travel, to even food and medical supplies. It's a great way to learn about businesses that will accept the digital currency. In what is claimed to the be the world's largest bitcoin business directory, BitScan has launched a database of over 5,700 businesses in 130 countries in partnership with BitPay - a digital currency payment processor. As more and more businesses turn to bitcoin, consumers are eager to find places near to them that will accept their digital money.
