BitStamp Resolves Banking Software Issues

Some of the Bitcoin community has been abuzz with BitStamp issues this week. Just yesterday, the Bitcoin exchange's website went down for a short period. The company noted they were having issues with their banking software, though it's unclear just what the issues are/were. Today, BitStamp has noted the banking issues have been resolved and transfers are being processed normally on a blog post, which should comes as a relief to traders around the world. Bitstamp Shows Higher Bitcoin Price Than Mt. Gox

The price of bitcoin on Bitstamp has increased to above the level listed on Mt. Gox. Japan-based exchange Mt. Gox is notorious for showing a much higher USD bitcoin price than its competitors, but this has changed over the past 12 hours. Bitstamp CEO Nejc Kodrič has been in touch to say he was incorrect in his earlier statement, which revealed the site was under a DDoS attack. He now says the site merely experienced a "network issue". The company has upgraded its server capabilities and ordered additional servers to triple the power of the network, which will be delivered on Monday. "We have been DDoS-ed today and yesterday.
