Bitcoin Mentioned on American TV Show 'The Simpsons'
Popular American TV cartoon 'The Simpsons' recently aired an episode that gives a small nod (kick in the groin) to bitcoin. In the scene, the character Krusty the Clown says the following: Yeah, all it takes is some bad luck at the ponies, worse luck at the bitcoin market, heavy investment... Now what's interesting about this is that it raises a very important, yet simple question. Has bitcoin gone mainstream? It wasn't that long ago that Bitcoin was first mentioned on the Fox network, outside of ignorant bits on Fox News, on American culture displayboard: The Simpsons. I now suspect that we have some Bitcoiners hidden away in the better parts of the Fox Network. Anyways, it's likely you haven't heard of Fox's new show Almost Human, their latest foray into the science fiction genre. Almost Human is set in the year 2048 and follows the adventures of Detective....

Last night during The Simpsons and Family Guy crossover for their special, hour-long episode, Bitcoin made a small shout-out on a billboard gag. As seen below, the gag features Springfield's beloved bully, Jimbo Jones. There was no mention of Bitcoin throughout the rest of the episode.
