But they're ready to expand their horizons. The company said on Tuesday they have plans to bring their kiosk to the United States, with machines expected to hit Austin, Texas and Seattle, Washington sometime later this month - making them among the first in the nation. Seattle and Austin will soon become the first US cities with bitcoin ATMs, provided everything goes according to plan. The machines are coming from ATM manufacturer Robocoin and the company claims they will be installed by the end of the month, Reuters reports. Robocoin ATMs are more elaborate than their Lamassu counterparts. They are cash-only machines and they have a few additional security features, such as biometric and optical scanners. With SXSW 2014 starting this week, Robocoin is gearing up to make four bitcoin ATMs in Austin, Texas accessible for the events. No more shall the United Kingdom exist without the presence of a bitcoin ATM. A new report indicates that two startups are racing to bring a bitcoin kiosk to the country by next month. One of these start-ups is aptly named Global Bitcoin ATM Ltd.
