The price of bitcoin is up more than 15% today on the CoinDesk Bitcoin Price Index (BPI), having reached a high of $677.58 before settling to $659.50 at press time. Bitstamp Restores Withdrawals Following Security Scare

Bitstamp is in the process of restoring full services to all accounts following an issue that prompted the bitcoin exchange to disable withdrawals to some users. The move was a security precaution and the affected accounts have been notified of the problem. BitStamp and Mt. Gox Bitcoin Prices Nearly Equal

Anyone in the Bitcoin community who has looked at charts for longer than a few minutes has noticed that traditionally, Mt. Gox's price tends to be higher than the other exchanges. In fact, in the past months, it hasn't been uncommon to see a different of $100 USD between the two Bitcoin exchanges (with BitStamp being the lower of the two).
