Search Engine DuckDuckGo Will Now Show You Bitcoin Prices

Internet search engine DuckDuckGo is joining the bitcoin club. Well, sort of. The engine, which prides itself on protecting user privacy, is now displaying bitcoin price quotes on relevant search queries. Queries the likes of "bitcoin price" will display quotes for easy reference. The quote box supplies the user to the Markets page at Blockchain.info, which serves as an additional resource. The world's largest search engine, Google, has yet to implement such a feature. Though competitor Bing has added a feature allowing for the rate conversion of bitcoin to fiat. Search Engine DuckDuckGo Integrates Bitcoin Price Quotes

Privacy-loving search engine DuckDuckGo has started displaying price quotes on bitcoin-related search queries. Launched in 2008, DuckDuckGo is a relatively fresh-faced search engine headed up by Gabriel Weinberg. The driving force behind the service is privacy - thus, integrating bitcoin price quotes seems like a logical move for the young outfit. The search engine is designed for people who would rather not have their personal data tracked online. Since it doesn't store any user data, the site does not offer personalised search results - or personalised ads for that matter. In 2013 alone,....

Search Engine DuckDuckGo Now Lets Users Check Bitcoin Balances

DuckDuckGo, the search engine for privacy lovers, has implemented a new feature that allows bitcoiners to check their balances simply by dropping their public address in the search box. While finding your latest balance can be done via your wallet or block chain explorer services such as Blockchain, DuckDuckGo, which requires no login, can make the process far quicker and simpler. For users that make DuckDuckGo the default search engine in their browser, checking a balance is as simple as pasting the address into the search box and hitting the 'return' key. One further, and possibly useful....

DuckDuckGo Now Lets You View the Balance of a Bitcoin Address

DuckDuckGo became one of the first search engines to incorporate bitcoin prices into search results back in April (although it should be said that Bing added a nifty bitcoin conversion tool in February). And now they're taking it a step further by providing users the opportunity to check the balance of a specific bitcoin address right from their search engine. Here's a screenshot from a random address I picked from Blockchain.info: You can see immediately below the search bar the balance of the address, which is incredibly useful. All one needs to do to make use of the feature is run a....

DuckDuckGo Will Now Show You In-Depth Bitcoin Blockchain Information

Anonymous search engine DuckDuckGo made some news in the bitcoin community back in early June when we learned that their engine would allow users to easily view the balance of a bitcoin address. Now it seems as if things have gone a little bit more in-depth. According to a post on the Biteasy blog, searching for a bitcoin address on DuckDuckGo will now produce more than just a balance. Users can now see total received, total sent. But that isn't all. Users who enjoy digging through the bitcoin blockchain can also review bitcoin block information, in addition to transaction information. See....

Bitcoin Block Chain Now Searchable with DuckDuckGo

Users of privacy oriented search engine DuckDuckGo can now access detailed information about their bitcoin transactions thanks to a recent integration with Biteasy. Biteasy is the startup behind an API that lets developers pull transaction data directly from the bitcoin block chain. The company recently submitted a GitHub pull request to DuckDuckGo, allowing the code to provide expanded block chain data access for search engine users. Previously, DuckDuckGo could be used to access wallet balance information, a feature added. On 12th August, Biteasy announced that the DuckDuckGo API....
