SecondMarket and Bitcoin Investment Trust CEO Barry Silbert has released some decently interesting information this Saturday afternoon relating to Friday's bitcoin auction held by the United States Marshals Service. To be clear, the results were not that of the auction itself, but the syndicate that Silbert formed shortly after the USMS announced the auction a couple of weeks ago. The U. S. Marshals held their third auction for the bitcoin seized from Ross Ulbricht during the Silk Road investigation, auctioning off 50,000 bitcoin on March 5. Demand in this auction was higher than in the second auction held last December, but not as high as the original auction in June 2014.
