Chinese bitcoin exchange OKCoin is moving into new frontiers. At the North American Bitcoin Conference taking place in Chicago, Illinois, the company announced plans to launch USD-based bitcoin trading (along with litecoin) in the near future - a move they've been planning for quite a while now. Litecoin Breaks Out Leaving Gap. Litecoin has been trending up gradually versus Bitcoin, but finally, it has broken out leaving a gap in a rapid price advance. The Gap occurred on the Bitcoin Wisdom 15 minute chart of the BTC-e exchange. Often gaps are filled so use caution. The reason for the advance most likely has to do with Chinese exchange trading. Starting tomorrow, China’s largest bitcoin exchanges will begin charging trading fees at a flat 0.2 percent for every transaction. The changes stemming from the People’s Bank of China’s involvement in bitcoin trading activity between China’s biggest bitcoin exchanges continue.
