Plus500 got its brand new sponsorship program off to a flying start yesterday evening, as the team on whose shirts its logo now resides - Atletico Madrid - beat local rivals Real Madrid 2-0 at the Copa del Rey. We reported yesterday that the sponsorship - which we can now reveal to be worth 1.5 million EUR - was set to begin ahead of last night's game. World's largest online gaming software provider Playtech's Cyprus branch is reportedly buying out the online contracts for difference trading platform Plus500 in an all-cash £459.6 million deal.
