Micropayments startup ChangeTip is launching a new feature that allows users to automatically direct any tips they receive to charitable causes. The US-based bitcoin company has initially partnered with the BitGive Foundation, enabling users to pass on bitcoins they receive to support the organization directly. The 'tip-redirect' function will see more options and improved functionality as development progresses over coming weeks and months, according to ChangeTip. Eight teams representing bitcoin companies in the San Francisco Bay area competed in a charitable tournament hosted by the BitGive Foundation on Sunday, 8th June at the Yerba Buena Gardens skating and bowling center. During the Inside Bitcoins Chicago Conference, BitGive Foundation announced its newest initiatives in spearheading charity projects using the cryptocurrency.
