Although more and more online merchants are getting used to the idea of accepting bitcoin payments, others feel discouraged by the volatility and lack of security for the cryptocurrency. GoCoin has announced it has raised $1.5m in funding in order to expand its operations as an international payments platform for cryptocurrencies. Point-of-sale services company Apriva has teamed up with cryptocurrency payments processor GoCoin in order to reach an even wider audience, allowing Apriva's 1,000+ channel partners to offer payments in bitcoin, litecoin, and dogecoin. The move represents the latest investment for the Singapore-based service, which offers merchants payments options in bitcoin, as well as a number of digital currencies.
