Bitcoin Price Choppy: Here's Our Bias
Earlier this morning we published our twice-daily bitcoin price watch piece. In the piece, we highlighted the levels that we would be watching throughout Tuesday's European session, and suggested that - despite our use of both our breakout and intra-range strategy's overnight during the Asian session - we would switch to just a breakout strategy today. Action has now matured throughout the day, and - as we head into a fresh Asian session - did we manage to get in and out markets according to our breakout strategy, or is still stuck within the range we highlighted earlier? Further, what are....

Here's a look at what we are focusing on in the bitcoin price this evening. When we conducted the first of our two bitcoin price watch piece analyses this morning, we went into markets with something of a bullish bias. Action has now matured throughout the European session on Friday, and this bias looks to have been a bit premature. Price has been a bit choppy throughout the day today, without breaking either of our key levels, and as a result, this has meant that we haven’t managed to get into any substantial trades as yet. This isn’t a bad thing, it just means we have to be a little bit....
Here's what we are looking at in the bitcoin price this morning. So we are now closing in on the end of the week, and we’ve managed to eek out a couple of good entries, and, in turn, a couple of nice profits on action in the bitcoin price. Things haven’t been exactly at we’d have liked, however. Action has been a little flat, and when we don’t get much volatility, it translates to some difficult trading conditions. Specifically, we often see lots of choppy action, and this choppy action makes it tough to place risk parameters without being overly lenient in an attempt to avoid a chop out....
Here's a look at what we are focusing on in the bitcoin price this morning. So let’s get things kicked off this morning. The week has been slow so far and we’ve not had too much action to go at. This isn’t too much of a big deal, as we’re still riding the wave of last week’s gains, and we don’t want to rush in to any trades and get chopped out of the markets prematurely. Last night we noted that the choppy action was a bit of a concern, given that price had trended pretty flat (albeit with a slight downside bias) throughout the afternoon session, and that the low volume might make for....
Here's a look at what we are focusing on in the bitcoin price this morning. Tuesday’s here, and as things turned out, we had a pretty interesting night’s worth of trading in the bitcoin price last night. Not because price moved considerably, or anything like that, but because we got some choppy action that fell in line with our breakout levels. Normally, choppy action is a real pain. It gets us into trades and then ends up taking them out again almost right away. That’s what stop losses are for, and it’s a pain but something we just have to accept. However, last night’s choppy action fell....
Yesterday afternoon, shortly before the European markets closed out the day, we published our twice-daily bitcoin price analysis piece highlighting the action throughout Monday's European session and suggesting the levels that we would be looking at to help us infer a bias as we headed into the evening. Now action has matured throughout Monday evening, what are the levels we will be watching during Tuesday's European session, and how can we interpret price action around these levels in order to use their inference to enter a position? Take a quick look at the chart. As the chart shows,....
