Bitcoin Price Watch; 600 Just Around the Corner

Here’s what we are focusing on for this morning’s session in the bitcoin price. In yesterday’s evening bitcoin price analysis, we noted that if price managed to pull off a sustained run to the upside, that we might see a reaching (or even a breaking) of 600. We concurrently noted that this was a key psychological resistance level, and that – as a result – even if we did break it, the likelihood of price maintaining a floor above the 600 level was slim. Action has now matured overnight, so let’s take a look at how our forecast played out against real time movement. The chart below is a....

Bitcoin Price Watch; Here’s What we are Looking at This Morning

Here’s what we are focusing on for this morning’s session in the bitcoin price. Well, we have come to the end of the week in the bitcoin price, and it’s time for our penultimate price watch analysis. It’s Friday morning, and a look back at action across the week so far shows a pretty flat few days, with intermittent spikes of volatility, but nothing to write home about. We pointed out that this volatility could make trading difficult going forward, unless price settled down a bit, and consolidated somewhat. We also highlighted the fact that action overnight last night suggested that this consolidation might be just around the corner, and – if it was – we might have an opportunity to take a breather and try and bring our intrarange strategy in....

Price Watch: Bitcoin Breaks $600

For the first time in three months, the price of bitcoin has surpassed $600 on the Bitstamp exchange. That's up over 7 percent in the past twenty-four hours and nearly 37 percent in the past month. The spike comes following some huge buys on the exchange, which comes in the midst of new-found optimism following weeks on end of a minimal movement (as compared to bitcoin's price history, of course). It's unclear what in particular has caused this spike, but what is clear is that there has been no shortage of good news in....

Bitcoin Price Bulls Stirring

Bitcoin price is edging higher as Gold is whip-sawing near its 2016 highs. With Classic(TM) looking to be heading the same way as XT, the market may feel renewed confidence in the integrity of Bitcoin. Today’s analysis proposes a few technical confirmations that should be observed before betting on the upside. The general mode of trade appears to be using the MAs as support for slow upward progress. The 1-hour chart MAs (not shown) seem to have an xbt.social buy signal forming, but before we prepare to trade to the upside, let’s remember yesterday’s illustration of how the market is....
