DHS Awards Small Companies to Explore Blockchain Technology
In a bid to tap into the blockchain technology, the Department of Homeland Security’s Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) has awarded small businesses with the task of supporting identity verification. Four small businesses have each been awarded $100,000 in preliminary funding through the DHS S&T Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has awarded as much as $600,000 in grants to six companies working on blockchain applications for the government.
