Amazon has announced the introduction of Stream+, an in-game virtual currency on its Twitch platform. In its early days, Bitcoin was considered as an in-game currency. Even though Bitcoin turned out to be much more than that, the in-game virtual currencies represent a huge market in their own right. Amazon is launching its own currency later this month. Amazon Coins will only be exchangeable for Kindle applications and games and will only initially be available to US customers.
