Riot Blockchain Bitcoin production jumps 80% over pre-halving levels

The company said it held more than $94 million in crypto as of March 31, all from Bitcoin it has mined. In an announcement on Monday, Riot Blockchain reported that it produced 187 Bitcoin (BTC) — roughly $11.2 million — last month, an 80% increase over its BTC mining in March 2020. Riot Blockchain netted $19.3 million in income for Q2 following its acquisition of Texas mining facility, Whinstone. Major publicly-listed Bitcoin mining firm, Riot Blockchain, has reported record revenues for Q2 2021.In its Aug. 23 quarterly financial report, the U.S.-based firm reported $31.5 million in mining-related revenues for the three-month period — up roughly 1,540% from its Q2 2020 revenue of $1.9 million.The surging mining revenues drove a record quarterly net income of $19.3 million.
