Chainlink integrates with Moonbeam to provide price data to Polkadot developers
Derek Yoo, the founder of Moonbeam, noted that the integration lets their platform provide “building blocks” to DeFi developers. Decentralized oracle network Chainlink (LINK) has integrated its service called Chainlink Price Feeds to Moonbeam, a smart contract parachain on Polkadot (DOT), to provide data to developers in the platform. In a release sent to Cointelegraph, Chainlink's team noted that going live on Moonbeam will allow those who build within the platform to access price information that’s compiled and aggregated from many different exchanges. This allows decentralized finance....

As Polkadot inches closer towards its first parachain auction, Moonbeam, one of the fastest-growing parachains on the Polkadot network, is already on a winning spree. Launched in 2020, Moonbeam first deployed its canary network Moonriver on Kusama, Polkadot’s canary network, in June 2021, with Moonbeam set to deploy on Polkadot later this year. Since its […]
Polkadot parachains can now choose to add Chainlink price feeds to their runtime. Polkadot and Chainlink have announced the release of Chainlink’s Price Feeds as a module, or “pallet” in Polkadot terminology, for the Substrate blockchain framework. The release means that any project building on the Substrate framework — which includes Polkadot and Kusama parachains, as well as independent blockchains — can integrate Chainlink oracles through a simplified library. The announcement comes as the latest result of a long-standing collaboration between Chainlink and Polkadot, now offering a....
2021 was an eventful year for Moonbeam, the newest Polkadot-based smart contract platform that aims to provide users with a more scalable and cost-effective alternative to existing legacy chains. Launched in January 2020 by Derek Yoo of Pure Stake, Moonbeam ranks among the most thriving “multichain” projects to join the Polkadot ecosystem. Designed to provide […]
GLMR could be a top contender in 2022 if Moonbeam’s planned interoperability with the Ethereum Network is a hit with investors and developers. Cross-chain compatibility with the Ethereum (ETH) network has become a necessary component for any layer-one protocol looking to remain relevant because a majority of projects and funds locked in smart contracts are found on the top-ranked smart contract platform. After years of development and promises of interoperability, the Polkadot network moved toward its first Ethereum virtual machine (EVM) compatible smart contract protocol with the launch....
MoonBeam wants Ethereum developers to feel comfortable on Polkadot. The MoonBeam project is planning on setting up a custom parachain that emulates the Ethereum Virtual Machine environment, effectively recreating Ethereum (ETH) on Polkadot (DOT).Developers on Polkadot and some other interoperability projects usually need to set up an entire blockchain to host their decentralized apps. While Polkadot’s Substrate framework is intended to make this process simpler, not all DApps need that level of control over their environment.MoonBeam seeks to become a kind of Ethereum emulator for....
