Multinational fast food chain McDonald’s started to accept Bitcoin (BTC) as a payment method in the 63,000-populated city of Lugano in Italian Switzerland, which is becoming a hotspot for crypto adoption in Western Europe. The Swiss town of Zug has decided to continue accepting bitcoin payments for municipality services following a pilot that launched in July 2016.
