GoCoin Unveils Email and SMS Billing for Digital Currency Payments

GoCoin, the first e-commerce payment solution designed to handle both bitcoin and emerging alt-coins at checkout, today released a Click-to-Bill feature making it even easier for merchants to accept digital currency payments from their customers.

In just a few short clicks, merchants can now create invoices and request payment via email or text message directly from their GoCoin Dashboard. Billing is also enabled through the GoCoin API for merchants looking to generate custom WYSIWYG forms.

For SMS invoices, a customer receives an alert on their mobile device with a link to view the bill. Clicking it launches their bitcoin wallet, where they are prompted to select their preferred currency and submit the payment. To see the process in action, visit http://bit.ly/1mPAVAB.

"Consumers are getting more accustomed to alternative forms of payment, and with SMS billing we're helping merchants replicate the online experience with in-store commerce and account top-ups," said Steve Beauregard, co-founder and CEO of GoCoin.

To streamline the payment process GoCoin offers simple plugins for popular e-commerce shopping carts. The company has recently expanded its open source plugin library to include: WooCommerce, Magento, Prestashop, VirtueMart, ZenCart, OpenCart, OSCommerce, and UberCart.

GoCoin is also offering FREE office hours with its eCommerce expert engineers to walk merchants through the simple integration process and how to enhance consumer engagement at checkout. Appointments are on a first-come, first-served basis.
