Citing Privacy Concerns, Boca Raton Dentist Starts Accepting Bitcoin

With the recent news of cyber-attacks against Target and Neiman Marcus, and due to the prevalence of medical identity fraud in the healthcare industry, renowned Boca Raton cosmetic dentist Mitchell A. Pohl is making South Florida headlines for allowing his patients to pay for services using Bitcoin.

With zero transaction fees and guaranteed anonymity, privacy minded patients could shield Bitcoin medical payments from their bank.

Dr. Pohl, owner of Boca Raton Cosmetic Dentist, a provider of general, restorative, cosmetic dentistry and implant dentistry, joins a growing roster of businesses that participate in the new payment network. Pohl is the first dentist in South Florida to accept Bitcoin payments.

Says Dr. Pohl, “I try to stay on top of cutting edge technology and thought it was only natural to start accepting Bitcoin.”
