Bitcoins Goes Mainstream in Canada: 1616exchange.com Gains Trust of Users

Canadian investors are now rallying behind Bitcoin- a new ideological enterprise that does not depend on governments and banks.

Bitcoin is changing the way people invest. This virtual money or cryptocurrency threatens to revolutionize the way people exchange money. For one, unlike conventional money, bitcoins can be exchanged directly through the internet. Thus, the money spent on banks to facilitate exchange need not be paid. Also, users can spend Bitcoins in any country and still its value remains intact.

"With Mediterranean countries facing currency crisis, many investors have found that it is better to speculate in money that is not under the control of the government. Unlike what happened in Cyprus, your Bitcoin account cannot be frozen," says a spokesperson for 1616exchange.com.

They are a Canadian bitcoin exchange company where users can buy and sell Bitcoins.

Bitcoins can be used to purchase goods on the internet. In fact, they're a popular resource to purchase online games, movies, and other ecommerce products. And for those who'd like to exchange them in favor of conventional money, 1616exchange.com facilitates this as well.

"Bitcoins can also be spent on charitable organizations without paying transaction fees. There are many charities that accept donations in the form of Bitcoins. You can either sell them in exchange for cash, hold on to them to become Bitcoin millionaires, or spend them to buy products. A single Bitcoin is now currently trading approximately around $98. That is a considerably higher price when compared to other financial products," adds the spokesperson.

Starting a bitcoin account is easy as well. Users have to download the free to use Bitcoin software, also called Bitcoin miner. This account can be used to buy coins; the virtual money is then deposited in a digital wallet.
