CoinSpace for iOS now available on iTunes!

CoinSpace now have a version of their digital currency wallet app for all major mobile platforms along with web browser functionality for other devices.

Atlanta – The wallet provides a method for receiving, making payments, and storing digital currencies which include Bitcoin and Litecoin.

The app offers not only more advanced features than Bitcoin enthusiasts have ever seen before — it also provides the ability for users to function as “their own bank.” For instance in some parts of the world many individuals are considered “un-banked,” with simply no access to a bank account of their own. CoinSpace together with digital currency offers these people the ability to send and receive payments just as everyone else does without the requirement of a traditional bank account. (Digital currency can of course be converted into local currency like U.S. dollars or Euros).

Speaking of the iOS release CoinSpace founder Jonathan Speigner said:

"with the ongoing development of the CoinSpace Bitcoin wallet I am focused on helping the world’s unbanked to be in control of their own finances."

All anyone needs to do without a bank is a smart phone — iOS, Android, Windows Phone — it doesn’t matter — CoinSpace from today functions across all platforms. "A Bitcoin wallet like CoinSpace gives anyone control of their money and the ability to be their own bank,” Speigner said.

I got to meet Solomon Lederer for the first time at Palo Alto, CA. He stand over 6 feet and peered down over everyone else at the Swarm Nest (Swarm's co-living space), but he has been kind to all those under his shadow. Ruben Alexander: Why do you think Coinspace is important for NYC? Solomon Lederer: It's important....

Scam Alert - Coinspace

A reader wrote in to CCN, concerned about what is an obvious scam to a veteran Bitcoiner, but might actually rope new folks in with ease. The concerned reader wrote: Basically they are building a pyramid scheme (sorry, I mean binary member system), where you can buy in and get some hashing power from their cloud mining service. Also they claim, that they will release a new cryptocurrency (S-Coin), which only they will be mining. More absurdly - when the coin comes out, they claim that it will have a value of 1€ and after some time even more. Also the rewards for members are extravagant....
