CoinTerra is offering compensation to early adopters of its latest TerraMiner IV mining rigs, based on the GoldStrike I ASIC. All customers who ordered the first batch of TerraMiner IV units, scheduled to ship in December, will now receive a second rig, free of charge. Although the first batch was originally supposed to ship in December, it was actually shipped last week. CoinTerra recently made news when due to an alleged debt it issued a message to its users saying that for the time being they would be unable to issue any payments. CoinTerra is being sued by a Utah data center operator for alleged breach of contract and $1.4m in unpaid services. In court documents, C7 Data Centers alleges that former partner CoinTerra acted in bad faith by intentionally underpaying for services and demonstrating a pattern of late repayment. In total, C7 is seeking $5.4m in damages, court fees and related charges. Bitcoin mining hardware producer CoinTerra has moved to reassure customers after it emerged a number of complaints about the company have been lodged with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Some 11 complaints relating to CoinTerra have been closed with the BBB in the last 12 months. Two of these related to advertising and sales issues, one related to guarantee and warranty issues and eight related to problems with the company's products or service.
