Apple Removes Blockchain.info App from iOS App Store
The Blockchain.info app on the iOS App Store has been removed by Apple today, in a shocking move the company says has been caused by "an unresolved issue". Blockchain.info's application was the last remaining bitcoin wallet on the app store, with others being taken down in a similar fashion by Apple. Even Coinbase's app found itself removed a mere three weeks after it was released. A lengthy response to Apple's moved was published on Blockchain.info's blog Wednesday evening. These actions by Apple once again demonstrate the anti-competitive and capricious nature of the App Store policies....

It was just yesterday we posted about Blockchain.info and their now 1.9 million MyWallet users (embarrassingly enough my original headline read '1.9 users' leading to a bit of confusion). At the end of that article, I mentioned that the Blockchain.info app had made a surprise and unintentional appearance on the App Store, before quickly being pulled (for those that did download it, they received the old version of the app). Today, Blockchain.info has announced that their app is officially now back on the App Store. The previous version of the application was removed by Apple earlier this....
Apple has removed the Blockchain wallet app from its iOS App Stores, leaving iPhone and iPad users with no native bitcoin wallet options for their devices. Apple offered no explanation for the action and no option to appeal, other than saying the removal was due to "an unresolved issue". The Cupertino company's move did not come as a complete surprise, as Apple had previously banned bitcoin wallet apps Coinbase and CoinJar, and insisted encrypted messaging app Gliph remove an option that allowed users to send bitcoin. CoinJar is still available for download on the local Australian App....

According to Christian Moss – the person responsible for creating SaruTobi – the game has been temporarily suspended from the Apple App Store. While it is not uncommon for Apple to [temporarily] remove applications....
The Coinbase iOS app, which enabled users to buy, sell and send bitcoin, has been removed from the Apple App Store less than a month after its launch. It appears it was Apple's decision to remove the app, as Coinbase engineer Craig Hammell revealed on Hacker News that his company was not responsible for taking it down. Another forum member suggested the app was removed for
Leading Australian e-tailer Millennius has stopped selling iPhones to protest against Apple's decision to remove the blockchain.info app from its app store. Millennius is a key proponent of bitcoin, and has called for wider deployment of the currency in the past. The company argues that bitcoin could lower prices online as payments are cheaper than traditional credit card payments and these savings could be passed down to consumers. Betraying ideals. The blockchain.info app was the only bitcoin-related app in Apple's walled garden of delights, and it had more than 120,000 users. The....
