KnCMiner Bumps Titan Scrypt Miner From 100 MH/s to 250 MH/s
Certainly, there's been quite a bit of excitement surrounding KnCMiner's Titan Scrypt miner. Pre-orders began not terribly long ago, and the company sold $2 million worth of the device in four hours. Customers who've made their purchase are expected to get a whole lot more power than they bought, too. The company today announced that they've upgraded the performance of the device to a minimum of 250 MH/s (running off an 800-1000 watt power supply unit). That's up from the previously-noted figure of 100 MH/s. Perhaps best of all is that the price tag remains unchanged. It can be had for a....

Earlier today, KnCMiner updated their website to reveal a Litecoin Mining Hardware tab, right next to their Bitcoin Mining Hardware tab. Under the new tab, KnCMiner reveals information on their newest ASIC miner: The Titan. The Titan is a 100 MH/s Scrypt ASIC that is designed to be used on the Litecoin network. Of course, there are hundreds of other Scrypt-based altcoins that are clones of Litecoin with slightly modded parameters. The Titan can be used to mine on any of those altcoins as well. The Titan costs $9,995 to preorder and shipment is slated for Q2/Q3 of 2014. KnCMiner has also....
KnCMiner has announced the tape-out of its Titan scrypt miner. This means every detail in the chip design has been finalized and it is now moving on to manufacturing, no chip design changes are possible beyond this point. The company said the first batch of Titan miners will ship "well within" the promised timeframe for pre-order customers, which is the third quarter of 2014. KnCMiner also told CoinDesk that the first batch of Neptune miners is expected to ship before the end of the current quarter, ie by the end of June. The company could not specify an exact date, but one will be....
KnCMiner has announced its first mining rig dedicated to scrypt mining - the aptly named Titan. At $9,995, it won't come cheap, and the company has not yet revealed its full spec, either. KnC claims the Titan will deliver a minimum of 100MH/s and, in some respects, it resembles a traditional PC, although it is based on the company's Jupiter form factor. The rig measures 60 x 50 x 20cm and weighs just 4kg. A standard ATX power supply is required, which does not ship with the unit. Under the bonnet, the Titan will have blades containing numerous cards, differentiating it from the Jupiter.....
KnCMiner has revealed a few interesting details about its upcoming Titan Scrypt miner, which is expected to ship this summer. The company updated the Titan spec in March, revising performance figures and pledging to deliver upwards of 250MH/s - it originally promised 100MH/s. KnC now says that the Titan ASICs will hit 300MH/s. Each miner will include four ASICs featuring a "record-breaking" 2,284 cores each. Each chip will be capable of running 18,727 threads, so each Titan will end up with 9,136 cores running 73,088 threads, the company claimed. KnC says the chips feature 300MB of onboard....
The folks over at KnCMiner have announced their first scrypt mining rig coming in at a hefty $9,995. At just under 10 lbs., the rig is similar in appearance to the Jupiter mining rig that has become incredibly popular, measuring 60 x 50 x 20 centimeters. Performance-wise: we're looking at minimum of 100MH/s - though the company hasn't released full specifications as of yet. The Titan rig is expected to start shipping some time in the third quarter - but pre-orders are starting now. Interestingly, customers who have pre-orded Neptune miners can switch over and instead reserve a Titan at....
