A start-up based out of Vancouver's oldest neighborhood, Gastown, is planning to bring a slew of bitcoin ATMs to the city in hopes of cashing in on the current bitcoin revolution taking place. The company behind the world's first bitcoin ATM is planning to set up machines in London and Singapore by mid-March. Vancouver-based Bitcoiniacs, said the new machines are part of a global expansion that will also include setting up physical brokerage offices for retail customers and a push to increase use of its own bitcoin exchange. Canadian bitcoin exchange CAVIRTEX is looking to get into the bitcoin ATM space. We already had an indication of this happening, when the exchange teased a picture of a line of BitAccess ATMs in a warehouse at the end of July. At the time, we didn't have a whole lot of information, but we're learning that at least six of the machines have launched today, and another four will be launching shortly.
