Rhinoceros Laboratories - Fake Products, Fake Company?
Rhinoceros Laboratories (that posted a Sponsored Story on CCN) has decided to capitalize on the Scrypt manufacturing market by selling fake Scrypt ASIC devices to unwary customers. Rhinoceros Laboratories has stated in an interview that stock pictures of motherboards and chips are of minor control boards in their device, but their sales page indicates that they are pictures of their custom ASIC chips. A fake Erik Voorhees Twitter account is trying to scam users into filling out a survey to steal their altcoins, the latest blog post from the company reveals. Erik Voorhees, CEO of the cryptocurrency exchange ShapeShift.io had reported the account to Twitter; the account is suspended as of now. Australian blockchain company TBSx3 has successfully completed its biggest trial with the innovative technology to tackle the issue of fake goods. In a report from The Australian Business Review, the company employed the use of a 44 alphanumeric character security cryptography to deliver a blockchain-based verification system.
