Robocoin Customers Report Trail of Late Deliveries After Reddit Exposé
Pioneering bitcoin ATM maker Robocoin has come under fire after an angry customer took to Reddit to publicise its grievances about how it was treated by the firm. The customer, a company called MetaLab Design in Victoria, Canada, claimed the ATM it ordered from Robocoin was severely delayed and defective when it arrived. It said it was still waiting to be refunded after returning the unit. Within a day of airing its grievances on Reddit, MetaLab said it got its money back from Robocoin. It proclaimed today on the message board that "Internet justice has been served", saying: "With the....

Courtesy: blog.robocoinkiosk.com. We've been talking quite a bit about the Robocoin bitcoin ATM in a downtown Vancouver cafe. In one day, the ATM saw about $10,000 in transactions - that is, people buying and selling bitcoin. Fast-forward a bit over a week later and you get an equally as impressive number. In the first 8 days of operation, the Robocoin ATM has done about $100,000 in buys and sells, according to a Washington Post report. Eighty percent of the transactions on the Robocoin machine were buys, twenty percent were sells (obviously). Waves Coffee, the cafe in which the first....

Courtesy: @Robocoin, Twitter. Last week I posted about the fact that the Robocoin ATM would be entering service out in the field for the first time in Vancouver. The day has come, and the first Robocoin ATM is now operating inside of a coffee shop. The ATM allows users to transact up to $2,000 USD per day and convert it to Bitcoin and vice-versa. It's an interesting concept, but the true test here will be just how well the machine fares in the future. Will it get much use? Will it often get mistaken for a cash machine? Robocoin has apparently sold more than one, so it's only a matter of....
The folks over at Robocoin, have launched a new Ambassador Program. They are known for the bitcoin ATM, unveiled in a downtown Vancouver coffee shop late last year. Their Ambassador Program, offers up $10,000 for anyone who can close a deal to get their bitcoin ATM purchased by a potential operator. As put by Robocoin: You aren't just a Robocoin Ambassador, but you're an ambassador for bitcoin. Your job is to source incredible operators, teach them about Robocoin and help close the deal. Robocoin says that the full $10,000 will be paid in bitcoin (about 12 BTC) as 25 percent of its fee....
