Tech Bureau and SatoshiLabs Partner for TREZOR Hardware Wallet Sales in Japan
Japanese blockchain startup Tech Bureau Corp. and the Czech Republic-based SatoshiLabs made an alliance to support the sales and promotion of the most trusted and popular hardware Bitcoin wallet TREZOR in Japan.
+ What is TREZOR?
TREZOR is a small physical wallet specifically designed to protect Bitcoin and valuable digital assets. The device generates private keys in its secure offline environment in order to sign transactions without ever exposing the private keys to digital threats such as bitcoin stealing malware.
TREZOR offers unprecedented security and ease of use to everyone without the need of advanced computer skills. Since its official launch in 2014 TREZOR has gained great popularity in almost 100 countries worldwide and received recommendations from security experts as well as its users.
The device uses a display for visual verification of the transaction details and buttons for physical validation of the transaction - something that a virus or a hacker can’t ever do instead of the legitimate Bitcoin owner. TREZOR has implemented several innovative security measures bringing a great peace of mind to a Bitcoiner.
The keylogger-proof PIN entry protects against unauthorized physical access as well as against malware designed to steal access credentials. A Recovery seed backup of 24 words allows for a convenient and secure recovery of the entire Bitcoin balance and transaction history in case the device gets lost.
+ TREZOR to Secure More Than Digital Money
Gradually, SatoshiLabs is expanding the use of TREZOR’s proven security to a broader spectrum of our digital life.
Its brand new TREZOR Password Manager lets users store and manage multiple passwords in their private cloud storage. This solution does not require a “master password” which is a typical weak point to other password managers. It utilizes TREZOR’s strong encryption technology to protect the login credentials against theft and misuse.
Tech Bureau will contribute to the localization of the TREZOR Password Manager and introduce TREZOR as a password protection device for its future products and services.
+ Alliance
Tech Bureau has made an alliance with SatoshiLabs to to become an official TREZOR distributor in Japan. Tech Bureau provides localized translations of TREZOR’s online wallet mytrezor.com, its manual and contents. Additionally, the company will also offer customer support for its Japanese clients.
Tech Bureau also works on integrating TREZOR as a second factor authentication for its Japanese Bitcoin exchange Zaif.jp. By doing so, Zaif users will enjoy a much safer login method. Additionally, the integration of TREZOR to Zaif.jp will also introduce a hassle-free transfer method of Bitcoins between Zaif’s wallet and TREZOR’s robust “offline vault”.
+ Japanese Market
Bitcoin in Japan has started booming in 2016. This lead to increased awareness about the management of one's own bitcoins in the country. As a result, there has been a growing demand for a safer and better method to store their Bitcoin. A TREZOR is the perfect device for the job.
Takao Asayama, CEO of Tecu Bureau says
“I am happy to take part in the popularization of TREZOR in Japan, as its official distributor. The SatoshiLabs hardware wallet became synonymous with protecting Bitcoin on other major platforms. I am confident we will achieve similar results in Japan very soon. Users will feel safer in obtaining more Bitcoin, while its price is upshifting faster than most people expected it to. You can now sleep on both ears with a TREZOR at your side.”
Alena Vranova, CEO of SatoshiLabs commented
“We at SatoshiLabs are thrilled to have such a partner for Japan. We have seen a significant increase in popularity of TREZOR in Japan recently and this step will ensure a high quality support and easy availability of our product to Japanese Bitcoiners. Mr. Asayama’s company is a great help for TREZOR in reaching the main Japanese marketplaces such as Amazon Japan or Rakuten.”
