Prominent bitcoin and Ethereum wallet and exchange Coinbase has unveiled a new feature to users in Europe who will now be able to purchase the digital currencies on their phones, using a payment card. Coinbase has announced that its European customers can now purchase bitcoin and Ethereum on their mobile phones using a credit or debit card. Coinbase has announced its first expansion beyond the US market, launching bitcoin buying and selling services in 13 countries across Europe. Coinbase launches iOS app to buy, sell and send bitcoin

Bitcoin digital wallet and payment processor Coinbase has launched a mobile app platform for its services on Apple iOS devices. The app is now available in the Apple App Store for free and enables users to buy, sell and send bitcoins, plus manage their wallet. A new service hopes to bring mobile bitcoin payments to the masses. The service, called Bits, has already demonstrated bitcoin payments made via text message from one mobile phone to another. Conceived by Cody Burns, who was a front-end software developer at COG1, a San Francisco-based web and mobile app company, Bits enables payments via SMS, QR codes or tapping together phones with near-field communications (NFC) capabilities.
